After the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services ordered Golden Living to close their Trussville location at the end of 2015, ProHealth Group assumed control of the facility and renamed it Trussville Health and Rehabilitation Center. The center underwent its certification survey in August and was found to be deficiency free, which means that all services provided at the facility meet or exceed all state and federal standards.
On November 3rd, the facility held a grand opening. "Our focus is to be the premier rehab facility in Trussville and surrounding areas," said Ron Davidson, administrator of the center.
Trussville Health and Rehabilitation Center can currently accept patients with Medicare and Medicaid benefits; however, the facility is in the credentialing process with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama, HealthSpring, Humana, United Healthcare, and Viva and expects to be able to accept patients covered by plans issued by those companies in the near future.
